#HowICelebrate the Little Things…with Chocolate

From finishing the last pages of that thousand page book to completing that difficult project at work, there’s always a reason to celebrate! But just how do you celebrate the little things? Is it by posting a status on social media marking your accomplishment? Or perhaps you celebrate by treating yourself to a long soak in a bubble bath.

We at Fannie May like to mark those special yet simple occasions in the sweetest way…with chocolate! Here are some of our favorite ways to indulge in Fannie May – because it’s the everyday things that are worth celebrating!

    I celebrate everyday little things by cooking my kids a delicious and nutritious breakfast to start their day. After they come home, we eat and play the game and after they go to bed I have a glass of wine and some chocolate to reward myself for doing a good job just because!!! I can enjoy it all by myself!!!!

    I celebrate the everyday little things with a smile, gratitude, praise and recognition – then I reward myself at the end of the day with some relaxation by burning a nicely scented candle and indulging in a sweet treat like a decadent piece of chocolate or a beverage like tea, cider, hot chocolate, or coffee while cozied up on the couch watching a favorite TV show or a new movie.

    I don’t need a reason to enjoy a piece of Fannie May chocolate but if I had to choose it would be to enjoy a piece of toffee with a hot cup of coffee at the end of the day. The toffee is my absolute favorite!

    I celebrate being a mom and watching her grow. The new words and the new things she understands everyday. We curl up for a pre bed time cuddle a chocolate or two. It’s so sweet until she starts to cry because she wants more.

  16. Celebrate by taking my little Maltese for an evening stroll after I have had a refreshing glass of Pinot Grigio and ANY kind of cheese or chocolate I have on hand !!

    Every day my family & I leave little notes for each other. Sometimes it is easier to communicate that way. A simple “I love you,” or “I’m sorry,” goes a long way to making a day special. It doesn’t hurt it we leave a little Fannie May milk chocolate square with the note.

    I celebrate little accomplishments by treating me and the family to a little treat from the fannie may store down the street my fav treat is a pixie or trinadad. But love all fannie may candy.

    I celebrate every day things by sitting on my back deck, listening to the sounds of nature, & drinking a cup of tea. It doesn’t hurt to add Dark Chocolate Squares to that either………

    Ever since I was a kid, I have always done the not-so-fun things in life (such as school work, then work projects as an adult) by breaking them up into smaller parts with a piece of chocolate as a reward for each part. So if I was writing a paper, I would get a small piece of chocolate after each page or section I finished. As a chocoholic, it makes those small boring tasks much more bearable!

    I celebrate staying on a low carb diet with rewarding myself with Dark Chocolate. It is just the push that I need to keep going with I get a sweet tooth. When I celebrate at a time when not low carbing I would either go for the Milk Chocolate or Rasberry Dark Chocolate. Since I have moved out of the Chicago area I have not tried any of the squares in this blog but would love to.

    I celebrate a good day or a finished project by walking to my freezer and letting a frozen mint meltaway just melt slowly in my mouth. What could be a better way to celebrate anything and everything??????

    I celebrate by taking a long walk in the foothills and appreciating the beauty which surrounds me since my recovery from breast cancer I am enjoying this new strength, new world and new outlook. Now I can take care of my grandchildren who are sweetness and brightness and make my life complete and perfect.

    When I need a little sweet, I head for a little square of dark chocolate!!
    I send dark chocolate Pixies to my mother-in-law approximately every few months!!
    She’s a picky chocolate lover and loves them!!
    Another friend loves Trinidads, so I send those to her occasionally.
    I would feel comfortable sending Fannie May chocolates to anyone!!
